NeuroFractal Art - The Method

Complete your NeuroFractal Art piece in just 5 simple and enjoyable steps, each designed to guide you effortlessly from inspiration to a stunning, meaningful creation.

Get Ready To Create

Visualise your dream or goal. Choose a size for your piece—larger formats allow for more focus and energy. Decide on your materials, such as pens, markers, or colouring mediums, and gather everything you need beforehand to ensure a smooth and focused creative process.

Create Dream Image

Visualise the dream, goal, wish, desire, or experience you aspire to achieve.  Choose the best symbol or image to represent it. Draw your wish/goal on paper, canvas, a digital screen or any other surface that inspires you. This way you create your unique Dream Image.

Fractal Drawing

Take a pen/marker. Close your eyes, think about your Dream. Freely draw on your Dream Image, creating shapes, forms, patterns and tangle with uninterrupted line as it flows from your imagination. Draw with your eyes closed for as long as you feel inspired.

NeuroArt Lines

Round all the corners in your drawing. Corners often symbolize fear, pain, discomfort, trouble, and conflict within our psyche. By rounding the corners, we train our conscious and unconscious minds to perceive our dreams as safe to achieve.

Add Colour

Add colour to the drawing. Choose any medium that resonates with you: markers, coloured pencils, watercolours, acrylic paint, etc. Let the colours mirror your emotions, feelings and mood you envision experiencing when you achieve your goal.

Final Result

Reflect on how you feel about the Final Result. Do you like it, or does it evoke negative emotions? If any negative feelings arise, analyze and release them by letting go of the piece. If you like Final Result, display it somewhere visible to inspire and motivate you.

NeuroFractal Art - Method Step by Step

Get Ready To Create

Before beginning your NeuroFractal Art creation, take a moment to reflect on your dream or goal—the one you’re eager to bring to life.

Consider the size of the piece you’d like to create. A larger piece will take more time and effort to complete, but it also provides an opportunity to channel greater energy, focus, and intention into your dream, especially if it’s a significant goal.

Next, decide on the materials you’ll use. Choose pens or markers for drawing the lines and think about which mediums you’ll use to add colour, such as coloured pencils, paints, or markers.

Gather all the necessary materials beforehand so you can immerse yourself fully in the creative process without interruptions.

Preparing thoughtfully ensures your experience is as meaningful and enjoyable as possible.

Step 1

Create Dream Image

Unleash your creativity as you craft your Dream Image! Whether you choose to hand-draw it, print it, or create a vibrant collage, the key is to design something that resonates with your dream. Focus on including meaningful lines that bring your vision to life and capture the essence of your aspirations.

In this website we use example demonstrating how NeuroFractal Art is created. It will guide you through the process step by step.

Dream/Goal: In this example, goal of the student is to achieve a Distinction Star grade in the subject.

Symbol: The symbol that best represented the goal was drawn: the letter D with a star.

Drawing surface and medium: In this case white paper and a black marker was chosen.

Step 2

Fractal Drawing

Take your Dream Image and a pen or a marker.

Close your eyes.

Fractal Drawing:

Thinking about your Dream coming true, freely draw on your Dream Image, creating shapes, forms, patterns and tangle with uninterrupted line as they flow from your imagination.

Draw freely for as long as you feel inspired:

The time to complete your drawing depends on the size of your Dream Image. Since you can’t see what you’re drawing, it’s hard to judge completeness. For A4, aim for 2-3 minutes. Use a timer, and once it goes off, see the result and decide whether to continue or finish.

Integrate and connect any loose lines to the closest line in your drawing.

Step 3

NeuroArt Lines

Round all the corners in your drawing: Corners often symbolise fear, pain, discomfort, trouble, and conflict within our psyche. By rounding the corners, we train our conscious and unconscious minds to perceive our dreams as safe to achieve. Meditative hand drawing calms the mind, reduces stress, enhances focus, and fosters a deeper connection to your inner thoughts, creativity, and sense of well-being.

Observe how you feel: Since this part requires time and effort, pay attention to the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that surface. If negative ones arise, try to ‘round’ them into positive ones. Visualize the best course of action to overcome any challenges that may arise on your journey toward achieving your dream or goal. Consider recording voice notes as a reference to revisit, analyse, and reflect upon later.

Brain-Body Connection: The act of drawing activates multiple brain regions, improving coordination between thought and action. The unconscious can manifest in creative endeavours, where ideas and emotions surface without deliberate control.

Step 4

Add Colour

Select your preferred medium: Choose what ever medium resonates with you: markers, coloured pencils, watercolours, acrylic paint, gouache or any other medium you love. Different and mixed mediums can be used, layered, additional lines added, etc.

Add colour to the drawing: Express your emotions through colour – let the colours you choose reflect your feelings, emotions, or the mood you imagine experiencing when you achieve your goal. There are many different suggestions what each colour means. Choose what resonates to you.

Meaning of the colours: Every colour carries its own unique energy and symbolism, often evoking emotions, memories, and associations that are deeply personal. Take a moment to reflect on the colours you’ve chosen and consider what they mean to you. Does a particular colour make you feel calm or energised? Does it remind you of a cherished memory or symbolise a quality you aspire to embody? Understanding the meaning behind the colours you use adds depth to your creation and connects it more intimately to your dreams and intentions.

Step 5

Final Result

Reflect on how you feel about the Final Result: Are you enjoying seeing it? Is it beautiful for you? Does it evoke positive or negative emotions and feelings?

Letting go: If you don’t like it or any negative emotions or feelings arise, take time to analyse and understand their source. Release the negativity by letting go of the piece (shredding, burning it safely, etc.), while affirming, "I’m letting go of everything that limits my ability to reach my goal." When you feel ready, create a new one.

Keeping the piece: If you like Final Result, display it somewhere visible to inspire and motivate you.

Manifestation: phenomenon of manifestation refers to the process of bringing thoughts, desires, or goals into reality through focused intention, belief, and action. It’s often associated with the idea that our thoughts and emotions have the power to influence our experiences and shape the outcomes in our lives.
